As well as providing me with a broad computing background, the following have 
provided experience of working to tight deadlines as part of a team over a full 
product life cycle.

Nov 2001 -   Sony Computer Entertainment Europe
	     Senior Programmer.  Responsible for tagging and export GUI tools for 
	     "This Is Football" series of Playstation2 games including timely delivery
	     of efficient, compact and reliable geometry and animation data.  Also
	     responsible for batch export and data analysis tools.  Primarily VC++
	     under Windows 2000.  Also C++ on PS2 and Linux, MFC, Maya plugins, mel,
	     Perl, PHP, XML (GNU libxml2 and MSXML), SQL (MySQL and MS SQL Server).

June 2000 -  Oomf Ltd
 Sept 2001   Setup and running of high-performance web-based contestant registration 
	     system for high profile ITV game show (Perl/PHP/MySQL under Linux).  
	     Designed and wrote an audio editing package (C/C++ under Linux) featuring
	     frequency filters and realtime spectral analysis.

Oct 1998 -   ZDNet UK
 May 2000    Development and sys admin of pcdirect.co.uk, a database-driven web 
	     application providing structured product searching (SQL/Perl/PHP/scripting 
	     on Solaris/Linux). 
	     Wrote Perl package to convert disparate vendor data into regular XML.

Oct 1997 -   Real Time TV Graphics
 Oct 1998    Designed and wrote program to generate realtime animated character which 
	     presented a live ITV programme (C/Motif/OpenGL under Irix).  
	     Wrote player software (C/Motif/OpenGL) and managed data for popular ITV quiz.  
	     Setup of Solaris web and Real Video servers for MTV Networks Europe.

May 1996 -   CERN (European Laboratory for Particle Physics)
 Nov 1996    Research on my PhD analysis (using FORTRAN/C/C++ under Unix/VMS) and
& May 1995 - presentation of results to research groups.
 Nov 1995    Responsible for maintaining the Aleph Level 2 Trigger.

Feb 1995 -   Imperial College High Energy Physics Group 
 May 1995    Part-time.  Assistance with the automation of the test facility for 
	     the Aleph vertex detector modules (test routines coded in C under Unix).

July 1993 -  Joint European Torus (experiment in nuclear fusion)
 Sept 1993   Design of digital safety modules and arranging to have them built 
& Apr 1992 - externally. Design and building of a driver for a Michelson interferometer.
 Sept 1992   Some PASCAL programming under Windows.
	
May 1991 -   Brunel University High Energy Physics Group
 Sept 1991   Maintenance and running of cryogenic system for a precision optical survey
	     of the CCD-based SLD vertex detector.  Assistance with the survey itself.
	     Some Quick BASIC programming under Windows.

Sept 1994    Part-time and holiday jobs including 2 years' bar work, cleaning, washing 
             up, warehouse labouring and catering.
